Submissions
Observer Media is the audio and video channel of Design Observer. It includes the audio archives of "Design Matters with Debbie Millman" — close to 100 hour-long podcast interviews with leading designers, artists and writers. A new interview show with Debbie Millman, professionally produced by Curtis Fox with higher audio standards, will be launched in Fall 2009. Also included is "We the Constitution," a series of short videos by Andrew Sloat designed to draw attention to the words of the United States Constitution. We will be adding new shows, as well as new individual podcasts and videos. Submissions are welcome.
How can I contribute a video or audio recording to Observer Media?
We welcome contributions of video and audio for this channel. We are only interested in projects that live on our servers and are a permanent part of our archive. For Observer Media we are looking for unpublished work, items of significant historical importance, or archival materials which are appropriate for our site and our audience. (We are happy to link to items in iTunes or youtube, and you may use our Suggest A Link form to recommend video or audio for our Observed column.) If you’re pitching an audio or video project, please submit one to two paragraphs describing the subject matter and relevance to Observer Media; also send copies (or links) of your previously published material.
