Design + Craft: The Brazilian Path

Design + Craft: The Brazilian Path by Adélia Borges, published by Terceiro Nome, 2012

A couple of years ago I convened at Bellagio a number of curators from around the world for a Rockefeller Symposium on how we collect, archive and exhibit efforts of social change. One of the bright lights of our gathering was Adélia Borges, a Brazilian curator. She has now published a remarkable book on the intersection of design and craft, artisanal objects and social innovation. John Thackara has also written about this book. Not readily available on Amazon, this title is worth the search for those interested in this rich subject. — William Drenttel
