Jackson on the 2020 Pulitzer prize in drama for “A Strange Loop”. It’s a ground-breaking musical about the creative process of an artist writing a musical, and it deals with issues of identity, race, and sexuality. A strange loop, indeed.

On this episode, Debbie talks to Michael about his latest musical, which is about a gay man trying to write a musical. “It’s not autobiographical. I think of it as self-referential.”
